WORKING WITH MODELS

JOHN

"Unwind"
Low Key Portrait by Jacqueline LeBlanc

For this Low Key portrait photo, I really wanted my model to have a natural position. I liked how it turned out with the rembrandt lighting style. My set consisted of a black background, a Camray 300 Compact Lighting System, a Nikon D90 DSLR with an 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR lens, and a Manfrotto 055DB tripod in my grade 11 Communications Technology class. I edited this photo on an iMac computer using the software program Adobe Photoshop CS3.

"Make Over"
Studio Portrait by Jacqueline LeBlanc

I took this photo in my grade 11 Yearbook photo for a final culminating project. The theme of my project was about make up and I really liked the idea of having multiple hands reaching out and applying different make up. I used a Camray 300 Compact Lighting System, a Nikon D90 DSLR with an 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR lens, and a Manfrotto 055DB tripod to achieve this photo. This photo was edited on a iMac computer using the software program Adobe Photoshop CS3. This was my first time working with multiple models.

"Take a walk"
Natural Light Photo by Jacqueline LeBlanc

I photographed this Natural Light photo in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada on a field trip with my grade 12 Communications Technology course. For this photo, I wanted her position to look natural. I used a Nikon D5000 DSLR camera with an 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR lens. I edited this photo on a iMac computer on the software program Adobe Photoshop CS3. I enjoyed the symmetry of the stairs as well as the dark exposure that is in the photo, making it look a tad more dramatic.

"Pucker Up"
High Key Photo by Jacqueline LeBlanc

This photo was taken in my grade 11 Yearbook course. I wanted my model to have very natural looking make up with a bold lip to really make it pop. I liked how the compact mirror had a lip print design on it to compliment her applying the lip stick. To achieve this photo, I used a Nikon D90 DSLR, with an 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR lens, and a Manfrotto 055DB tripod as well as a Camray 300 Compact lighting system. This photo was edited on an iMac computer using the software system Adobe Photoshop CS3.
