VIDEO PRODUCTION

SHORT MOVIE

"Figment"
Sound Design/Sound Editing

In my grade 12 Communication Technology class we produced a five minute short movie. My job responsibilities for this was the sound design and editing with a group of two other students. I created the background music on the softwareFinal Cut Pro version 7 that complimented the mood of each scene, to either create suspense or to add a dark atmosphere. The best part about making this short movie was being able to experience it all and to see it come together in a professional manner. This video is entered in the 2018 Kingston Canadian Film Festival in the Youth Shorts category.

DOCUMENTARY VIDEO

"The Most..."
Grade 9 Documentary Video

In teams of three, students produced a one minute documentary video of what it's like as Holy Cross CSS with a corresponding topic. Our topic was "How can you make the most out of your Holy Cross experience." For this project, my responsibility was the producer. Some jobs that I did were conduct two interviews asking all the questions and collecting the release forms from the students.  This was my first time working with an interview style setup. One of the more difficult tasks I found while we filming was that the students voices weren't projected enough and were overly shy. These videos will be shown to elementary schools to show the grade eights on what Holy Cross is really about.

VIDEO INTRODUCTION

"LeBlanc Photo Food Stylist"
Into Video by Jacqueline LeBlanc

In my grade 12 Communication Technology class, I created this 10 second introduction video of my personal logo. I used the software program "Motion" to make the logo slowly come closer as well as add the star effects that are in the background. I liked the starts because it could also be used to represent powdered sugar to go along with the theme of my logo. For the music and sound effect, I used the software program Final Cut Pro version 7. I created the text, body and fonts in Adobe Illustrator. I am very delighted with the end production of my introduction video.

CHEERLEADING

"Cheerleading Highlights"
Highlights Video by Jacqueline LeBlanc

In my grade 11 Yearbook class, I made a highlights video about the cheerleading team at Holy Cross CSS. I got footage from one of their practices as well as from their showcase. I really wanted to capture the hard work that goes into cheerleading as well as the fun collaboration that the girls experience. I used a Canon Vixia HFS100 to record this footage on a Manfrotto 055DB tripod. I really enjoyed that I got a handful of clips of their performance that would match up to the beat.
